My IUD (Intrauterine Device) was removed yesterday after 7 years. I felt a little pain in a few seconds but it subsided right away just like when IUD inserted in me for the first time. I paid only very small amount for removing it, at only Php250. My ob-gyne advised me to have a biopsy- a medical test to determine if there are presence of possible active cells that will lead to tumor or cancer. I thought that IUD can only be removed during the third day of the menstrual period like when I had my IUD insertion, had I known I could have removed it last week. Right now, I am using pills as my birth control. I do hope that there will be no side effects that I'm going to feel someday.
